We strive to ensure a consistency of approach so that children are able to confidently manage the move from the infants. Developing deeper understanding through reading, and conveying meaning through increasingly complex writing provides the basis for preparation for later education. As with previous years, children’s progress is carefully tracked and monitored to ensure that achievement is central to their experience at school. In years 3 and 4, all children participate in an afternoon of outdoor sport. In year 4, children take part in swimming classes.
